Born in 1962 in Bintuni (West Papua, Indonesia), Mama Ellen cultivated a love for cooking and baking since she was a little girl. This led to her starting her own bakery in Sorong in 1984.
27 years later, Bloom Bakery continues to thrive.
In 2020, due to the pandemic, Mama Ellen decided to relocate permanently to Singapore and by the grace of God, her dream of introducing Papuan-Indonesian-Chinese food to people outside of Indonesia came alive.
Bloom Kitchen is born and as the saying goes, the rest is history. Follow Mama Ellen (and us, her daughters) on this food journey where every dish served is a labour of love.
